Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage in South Edmonton and West Edmonton

Therapeutic Massage Therapy

60 Minute $105 | 75 Minute $130 | 90 Minute $150

Deep tissue massage is designed to penetrate deeper muscles or to break down scar tissue. Deep tissue massage does not necessarily require deeper or stronger pressure. Lighter pressure and movement may be the most effective way to alleviate and improve existing conditions. It might be used with trigger points and mild pain may be experienced.
By relaxing, stretching and lengthening muscles surrounding tissue, circulation is improved, internal muscle scar tissue is broken down, fascia is released, and your body’s natural healing process begins providing pain relief.
Pressure may be a client preference.  Please communicate with your Alberta Momentum Registered Massage Therapist throughout your massage treatment to ensure your comfort level. Your therapist should ask you how the pressure is during your treatment.
Neuromuscular Therapy can alleviate minor strains and chronic muscular pain and discomfort. This type of therapy is targeted to support tissues and muscles to return to their function. It uses specific, targeted soft tissue treatment, flexibility stretching and self care to address muscular aches and pains. The therapist addresses postural and muscular imbalances, nerve entrapment, reduced blood flow to an area of the body and muscular trigger points which may develop in injured muscles. Trigger points can cause chronic pain at the site as well as referred pain to other areas of the body.

Benefits include: Reduction or elimination of pain; Greater flexibility and strength; Increased ease and efficiency of movement; Balanced musculoskeletal and nervous systems; Improved posture; Increased circulation; Decreased body toxins; Increased energy and vitality.

Several therapists incorporate trigger point therapy with the massage which is applying pressure to tissue to relieve pain and dysfunction. Many of the therapists provide hints for home exercises or stretches.
A person may benefit from massage while training for an event, during recovery after athletic activity, or recovering from a sports injury. Sports Massage focuses on specific muscles and is used to decrease chances of injury, enhance strength or endurance, and improve recovery. It may be for the athlete or person who enjoys recreational or seasonal activities such as golf or skiing. It often includes targeted stretching with self care, plus neuromuscular or deep tissue massage.

Benefits include: Greater flexibility and strength; Increased ease and efficiency of movement; Relieve pain after an event or injury; Loosened and gently stretched muscles; Prevention of muscle stiffness.

Sports Massage is a form of Therapeutic Massage where the therapist manipulates the body’s tendons, ligaments and muscles with the goal to prepare the client for an activity (marathon, weight training, hockey, etc.) or to recover or rehabilitate from one. Utilize Sports massage to:

  • Prepare muscles for a specific event
  • Loosen and gently stretch muscles
  • Increase flexibility
  • Prevent stiffness

Our goal is to help you to maintain or reach fitness goals, help to speed recovery and avoid injury. Whether you’re a triathlete, play recreational sports, or just picked up a new hobby, your therapist can help you reach your goals and maintain your health.

Relaxation massage is part of an integrated therapeutic massage ideal for the stress, aches and pains of everyday life. Swedish Massage is based on Western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on what the therapist wants to achieve. It is great for people who want to unwind and release stress. The person releases endorphins which can connect and soothe both the body and mind.

Relaxation massage promotes quality sleep, reduces emotional and physical stress, and is a great way to create a quiet and reviving experience for you in the middle or end of a busy work week.
Hot Stone Massage Therapy in South Edmonton and West Edmonton

Hot Stone Massage

60 Minute $130 | 75 Minute $160 | 90 Minute $180

In a Hot Stone Massage, the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands, or by placing the pure basalt stones on the body while massaging other areas. The heat is deeply relaxing and helps to warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work at a deeper tissue level. Natural basalt or river stones have excellent heat retention. Deeply heating muscles and ligaments during treatment, your therapist will be able to achieve a soothing and beneficial massage, combining elements of relaxation and deep tissue. Hot Stone Massage is a favourite during cold or rainy day weather, as a gift, and for any client who enjoys the even, calming warmth of this delightful treatment.

Jade Stone Massage is a specialty treatment in which the therapist uses both hot and chilled jade stones to assist in therapeutic treatments. The chilled stones are used sparingly in a treatment, often for acute conditions. The heated stones allow the therapist to work deeper into muscle layers and the chilled stones can help to treat inflammation. Jade stones are mined, cut, shaped and polished into specific shapes that allow the therapist to use more therapeutic techniques than a traditional hot stone massage would allow. Jade itself has been said to have healing properties that help to balance the body. The stone is made of calcium, magnesium, and iron which allows the stone to hold a hot and cool temperature equally well.

Pregnancy Massage Therapy: Prenatal Massage; Postnatal Massage

60 Minute $105 | 75 Minute $130 | 90 Minute $150

“Pregnancy massage” is a term for massage during or after pregnancy (prenatal and postnatal massage).

Prenatal pregnancy massage may promote relaxation, sleep, a feeling of wellness, and a decrease discomfort. Changes in ligaments and pressures on muscles may lead to strain or discomfort in the back, hips, shoulders, and feet. During the later stages of pregnancy, therapists use specially designed pillows (bolsters) to help you lay comfortably on your side during your massage.

Postnatal massage focuses on relaxation and strengthening of the muscles and tissues, with modifications until 6 to 8 weeks after delivery, and in the side lying position. Circulation, well-being and discomfort may be improved.

Myofacial Cupping Massage

60 Minute $130 | 75 Minute $160 | 90 Minute $180

Myofascial cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses suction cups to gently lift the skin and underlying fascia, helping release tension, improve mobility, and increase circulation in targeted areas of the body. This negative‑pressure approach creates space within the soft tissues, allowing restricted fascia to loosen and glide more freely.

During treatment, cups are placed on the skin to create a vacuum that lifts and separates tight or adhered tissues. This process helps improve blood flow, reduce muscle tension, and support the body’s natural healing response – making it an effective option for chronic pain, stiffness, athletic recovery, and restricted movement patterns. Many clients also experience improved flexibility and reduced discomfort following a series of treatments.

Myofascial cupping can be a stand‑alone therapy or integrated into a massage session to enhance therapeutic results. Whether you’re dealing with deep muscle tension, limited range of motion, or lingering post‑exercise tightness, this technique offers a powerful, non‑invasive way to restore balance and ease within the body.

Call our receptionist, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm; Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
